When You Run out of Motivation

What to do when you run out of motivation

"If we all did the things we are capable

of doing, we would literally

astound ourselves."

- Thomas Edison
Today is the first day for the rest of
your life!  Have you heard this before? When
I heard this statement as a child I could not grasp the meaning; my small idea
of life had no concept of the “rest of my life.”  Now that I have been blessed to be sixty one
years young, the meaning is completely clear to me.  Below you will find lessons and steps to do
when you feel low, feel like a flat tire, or like lying in bed because you do
not have anything to do or to look forward to doing.  But before you read Mr. Anthony’s ideas and
suggestions; here are a few thoughts of motivation from God our Father, who
loves us unconditionally, who instructs us though His Word, the Bible. Pick out
one or two or three and repeat them fives in the morning when you first get up,
fives time at 12 noon and five times in bed before you go to sleep.  Do this for 30 days and then give us your
feed back of how standing of the Word of God has affected your life.

What to do when you
run out of motivation
By ANTHONY on JUNE 27, 2007
When you run out of positive energy and
motivation, it’s a lot like a car running out of petrol. Instead of moving
towards your destination, suddenly everything comes to a grinding halt.
In the same way that a car needs petrol to
operate, you need positive energy to fuel your journey to success. Here’s the
true story that taught me this valuable lesson…
I had just finished the hectic task of moving
house and the final thing I needed to do was drop off some keys to the property
manager before 5pm.
After battling heavy traffic, I made it to the
property managers’ office with just a few minutes to spare. I parked in what I
thought was a 15 minute parking spot and rushed into the building. I returned
to my car no more than five minutes later to find a $107 parking ticket on my windscreen.
I checked the parking sign and found that the area was a no parking zone
between 4 and 5pm. It was 4.56pm!
Coming at the end of an exhausting couple
of days of packing and moving furniture, this was the last straw! I was
annoyed, angry and frustrated. As I drove home. my positive energy tank was
empty and I was in a very negative state of mind.
I decided that I needed to get off the road
and have a break so I stopped off at a large shopping complex. I walked into a
Borders book store and browsed the shelves in an attempt to calm
down.
I came across a book by Farah Gray who is a
young man who grew up in the Chicago projects and went on to become a
millionaire at the age of 14. As I read about his struggles and journey to
success, I could almost feel the positive energy filling up my internal energy
tank. I felt my anxiety and frustration melt away and after reading a few
chapters of the book, I was in a completely different frame of mind.
I left Borders feeling completely reenergized
and full of motivation which was amazing considering the way I had felt when I
walked into the store. It really did feel like I had made a pit stop and filled
my tanks with positive energy and motivation.
This
Weeks Action Steps
1. Recognize that the positive feelings of joy,
love, happiness and motivation are the fuel that drives you to success.
2. Understand that just like a car runs out of
petrol, we sometimes run out of positive energy, especially when we are tired
or facing stressful situations.
3. Learn to recognize when your ‘positive
energy’ tanks are empty by examining how you feel.
4. When your tanks are empty, a great
thing to do is to change your environment and go somewhere where you can
‘refuel’. Two of the best refueling stations are bookshops and libraries.
4. Fill your tanks
with positive energy by reading an uplifting book or watching an inspirational
DVD. If you can’t make it to a bookshop, visit the
 inspirational video
page
 of this website.
5. Once you have refueled your tanks with
positive energy, you will be ready to continue on your journey to success!
Until next time,
Dare to dream!

COMPLETE HEALTH / SIMPLE SOLUTIONS

This awesome information is just what I needed and one of my best friends Deola Alofoje (please check out her contact information, at the bottom of this article)sent this to me and I read it at (2:30Am this Sunday morning)
And after I prepared my cup of hot green tea (Dr. Oz, said drink 4 cups of Green tea daily) honey and cinnamon, I sent it to you.

My testimony: I can testify about how cinnamon help with pain in my knees, when I added to my oatmeal, tea and coffee. It worked and then I stopped using it. Guess who is going to stock up on honey, cinnamon and green tea, today?
Best Place to Buy:   Buy your green tea and cinnamon in bulk form from your local fresh fruit and vegetable market. If you are in the Atlanta Georgia area, check out the Dekalb Farmer's Market http://www.dekalbfarmersmarket.com/
I am still looking for the best buy for honey, the last honey I brought was from Kroger in a large container.  But if you have any suggestions as to how we can save money, please let us know.
Cinnamon and Honey
Whoever thought?
Honey is the only food on the planet that will not spoil or rot. What it will do is what some call 'turning to sugar'. In reality, honey is always honey. However, when left in a cool dark place for a long time it will "crystallize".  When this happens loosen the lid, boil some water and sit the honey container in the hot water, but turn off the heat and let it liquefy naturally. It is then as good as it ever was. Never boil honey or put it in a microwave. This will kill the enzymes in the honey.

Cinnamon and Honey

Bet the drug companies won't like this one getting around. Facts on Honey and Cinnamon:
It is found that a mixture of honey and Cinnamon cures most diseases. Honey is produced in most of the countries of the world. Scientists of today also accept honey as a 'Ram Ban' (very effective) medicine for all kinds of diseases. Honey can be used without side effects for any kind of diseases.
Today's science says that even though honey is sweet, when it is taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it does not harm even diabetic patients. Weekly World News, a magazine in Canada, in its issue dated 17 January,1995 has given the following list of diseases that can be cured by honey and cinnamon, as researched by western scientists:

HEART DISEASES:

Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, apply it on bread instead of jelly and jam and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol in the arteries and saves the patient from heart attack. Also, those who have already had an attack, when they do this process daily, they are kept miles away from the next attack. Regular use of the above process relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heart beat. In America and Canada , various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that as one ages the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged; honey and cinnamon revitalize the arteries and the veins.
ARTHRITIS:

Arthritis patients may take daily (morning and night) one cup of hot water with two tablespoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. When taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research conducted at the Copenhagen University, it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon Honey and half teaspoon Cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a week (out of the 200 people so treated) practically 73 patients were totally relieved of pain -- and within a month, most all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis now started walking without pain.

BLADDER INFECTIONS:

Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder..

CHOLESTEROL:

Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder mixed in 16 ounces of tea water given to a cholesterol patient was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours.  As mentioned for arthritic patients, when taken three times a day, any chronic cholesterol is cured. According to information received in the said Journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

COLDS:

Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for three days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold, and, clear the sinuses.

UPSET STOMACH:

Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also clears stomach ulcers from its root.

GAS
:
According to the studies done in India and Japan , it is revealed that when Honey is taken with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.

IMMUNE SYSTEM:

Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacterial  and viral attacks. Scientists have found that honey has various vitamins and iron in large amounts. Constant use of Honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles (where DNA is contained) to fight bacterial and viral diseases.

INDIGESTION:

Cinnamon powder sprinkled on two tablespoons of honey taken before food is eaten relieves acidity and digests the heaviest of meals.

INFLUENZA
:
A scientist in Spain has proved that honey contains a natural 'Ingredient' which kills the influenza germs and saves the patient from flu.

LONGEVITY
:
Tea made with honey and cinnamon powder, when taken regularly, arrests the ravages of old age. Use four teaspoons of honey, one teaspoon of cinnamon powder, and three cups of water and boil to make a tea. Drink 1/4 cup, three to four times a day. It keeps the skin fresh and soft and arrests old age. Life spans increase and even a 100 year old will start performing the chores of a 20-year-old..

RASPY OR SORE THROAT:
When throat has a tickle or is raspy, take one tablespoon of honey and sip until gone.  Repeat every three hours until throat is without symptoms.
PIMPLES:
Three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder paste. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it off the next morning with warm water. When done daily for two weeks, it removes all pimples from the root.

SKIN INFECTIONS:

Applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected parts cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections.

WEIGHT LOSS:

Daily in the morning one half hour before breakfast and on an empty stomach, and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one cup of water. When taken regularly, it reduces the weight of even the most obese person. Also, drinking this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to accumulate in the body even though the person may eat a high calorie diet.

CANCER:

Recent research in Japan and Australia has revealed that advanced cancer of the stomach and bones have been cured successfully. Patients suffering from these kinds of cancer should daily take one tablespoon of honey with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder three times a day for one month .

FATIGUE
:
Recent studies have shown that the sugar content of honey is more helpful rather than being detrimental to the strength of the body. Senior citizens who take honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts are more alert and flexible. Dr. Milton, who has done research, says that a half tablespoon of honey taken in a glass of water and sprinkled with cinnamon powder, even when the vitality of the body starts to decrease, when taken daily after brushing and in the afternoon at about 3:00 P.M., the vitality of the body increases within a week.

BAD BREATH:

People of South America, gargle with one teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water first thing in the morning so their breath stays fresh throughout the day.

HEARING LOSS:

Daily morning and night honey and cinnamon powder, taken in equal parts restores hearing. Remember when we were kids? We had toast with real butter and cinnamon sprinkled on it!

Dr. OZ SELF LOVE BREAKFAST

This is from Dr. OZ. RealAge weekly email. And since we are working on self love this is a wonderful addition.  Read, learn, try and enjoy.

Eat This for Breakfast to Experience Self-Love

By RealAge By: Dr. Oz

Seems like a pretty tall order. A breakfast choice that can make you love yourself more? But a new study suggests it may be so.
The breakfast item in question? Cereal.
In a study, the women who had it for breakfast every morning experienced greater self-esteem than the women who started their days with a muffin -- even though both breakfasts had the same number of calories.

Mind over Food
In fact, the cereal eaters felt fuller, happier, and more relaxed, according to food diaries the women kept to record how many calories they thought they'd had and what they felt after eating it. Even though both breakfasts had 400 calories, women who ate the cereal thought it had fewer calories -- and they felt better about themselves because of it. And a mood boost like that is good for self-esteem, researchers note, because how people feel is closely linked to their perceptions of their weight and body image.
Feel-Good Flakes
Ultimately, researchers think that the kind of self-love the cereal eaters experienced may even boost the chances of weight loss success because feel-good vibes can help people stick with a weight loss plan. Choosing foods that you think are high in calories, on the other hand?

It just makes you feel bad about yourself.

And that may make you more likely to fall off the weight loss bandwagon. Here are two more tools you can use to boost your self-love and tip the scales in favor of weight loss:
How will you look after slimming down? Get a sneak peek with this Virtual Weight Loss Simulator.

This Week's Tips

.....may I please have your attention for a minute or two?

We deserve better love
  • Better men friends
  • Better husbands
  • Better relationships
  •  Better promotions
  • Not to mention we deserve better health and wealth.
Wait a minute, we deserve the best, the best of everything in is grand and wonder in the world.  So, why don't we have it, where is it, the "The Best Life" Pastor Joel Osteen writes about?

Where are the best husbands, friends and relationships? Ladies, not despair, they are still there waiting for us. The best men, friends, husbands are still available.

Please do not believe the hype and the lies
The lie that the best men are either dead or married.  But the question we need to ask ourselves is; are we willing to do what it takes to have the best life has to offer?

If have you have think about the answer, let me help you along...Yes, you do deserve the best, the best of everything that is grand and wonderful life has to offer.
Are we willing to let go of the past?
Are we willing to let go of bad and self defeating habits?
Are we ready to walk away from relationships that have run their course and completed their purpose in our lives?
Are we ready to admit, we were wrong?
Are we ready to let go and let God?
Are we ready to take the road less traveled? (A great book)
Are we ready to stop blaming others for our mistakes or failures?
And this is one of my favorites, are we ready to stop doing the same things and expecting different results?

Please realize this, regardless of your past, your mistakes, errors of judgment, you deserve the best. Irregardless of what others (including your family) has said about or done to you) you my dear deserve the best. Dear ladies it is essential that you make the decision that you deserve the best and that you and only you can do what it needed to turn your life around to your satisfaction. Are you ready? Are you really ready to change?

What is the point I am making?
Are you ready to change, are you ready to do whatever is necessary to get/receive all of the blessings God has already prepared for us?

I know I am, I am sooooooo ready to change, to stop procrastinating, I am ready to stand on the promises of God and live my best life.

It is never to late, never!
At the age of 61, I have made up my mind to lean wholly and completely on God for everything and to be totally committed to please Him everyday.
 Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding

Ladies read and repeat the daily affirmations in this blog, they will help to change  any negative self talk to positive self motivations. Remember. you have what you say!

SELF LOVE

WAKE UP TO SELF-LOVE Part

Why are so many teens and women trying to change appearance?  Why are we spending billion of dollars to change our hair, color, and body shape?   Why are falling for the hype, “Blonds
more fun”, or you have to thin to be beautiful? What you think would happen if we spent all of this time and effort, not to mention money on self improvement, learning love and appreciate our
s or discovering and
our talents?
Ladies, please check out Laurie Martin’s, website: http://www.smileacrossyourheart.com/. First, Laurie is an author, inspirational, and professional speaker, certified Life Coach as well as a radio host. She teaches self-love, self reliance, inner wisdom and empowerment, the same exact tools we are developing for ourselves. And second, I found out about Laurie, from Kim Coles, site: http://kimcoles.tv/2010/07/wake-up-to-self-love/ and
http://kimcoles.tv/. Kim’s site is called G.I. F.T.S, which stands for Gratitude, Intention, Forgiveness, Talents, Self love, skills we should use daily. We will spend our next sessions exploring the concepts, tools and skills we can use, learn and develop to live and have the life we deserve।
This title is directly from Laurie’s site. How do you know when you have grown in self-love?
1. When you are able to say, "I'm sorry, I was wrong" without excuses.
2. When you are going through a tough situation and you are focusing on the wisdom you are gaining and how you are expanding your heart- into more parts of yourself.
3. When you notice you are not personalizing other people’s behavior as much.
4. When you notice you are able to vocalize and communicate instead of run away.
5. When you have the courage and belief that you are cable of achieving something.
6. When you describe situations from a higher, positive perspective without blaming others.
7. When you can see the goodness in others even when they are not feeling good about themselves.
  8. When you are able to forgive yourself and others easier.
9. You are able to discern what isn’t working for you in relationships; you vocalize it in a responsible way and take action in a way that brings you to a healthy empowered place.
10. You allow your true self to come out.
11. You trust yourself, your intuition and feelings.
12. You can laugh when you do silly things instead of reading yourself the riot act.
13. You catch yourself when your mind is spinning on negative things or fixating on others too much, and you draw your energy back to positive thoughts more quickly.
14. You are able to open your heart and love unconditionally.
15. When you have more patience with your life path and your divine timing.
  16. When you able to be genuinely happy for others when they are doing well.
17. When you are able to step into your feelings and be present without running or judging.
18. When you notice that the people around you are wiser and more in their heart space than previous friends and romantic partners.
  19. When you are able to admit that you don't know what someone is talking about.
20. When you make healthier nutritional choices.
21. When you make time for physical exercise.
22. When you make time for your divine connection, gratitude and prayer. 23. When you are able to open to a new perspective or create a more positive life script.
24. When you are more "clear" on who you are, your desires and the way you express yourself.
25. You are able to say, "No, I don't buy into that negative thinking because I believe in the best possible scenario!"
26. You are able to look at your fears like a third party not identifying with you, but as the observer. After assessing your SELF-LOVE using Laurie's list, where do you stand??

TEEN SUICIDE, WHY ARE OUR CHILDREN DYING?

Teen Suicide; what is going on?

It hurts my heart to hear about our young people feeling

so hopeless, miserable and helpless  to the point of taking their own lives.   Yes, life can be hard, confusing and too many times painful.  But it should never be hopeless, never.
Although, I must admit there was a time in my life when I felt so miserable about my situation that I did think about it, taking my life.  But believe me, that was a fleeting thought.  Do you know why?  Because I remembered who I was and to whom I belonged.
(Psalms 139:14, 17-18) I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. {17} How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! {18} If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.

The word of God can and will strengthen, encourage and motivate you, when you start to feel despair or start making life choices based on what a person has said to you.
Whose report are you going to believe?  I am going to believe the report of the Lord.

This is the lesson we have to teach our children. The message that they were created for a divine purpose and the devil will use people to stop you from reaching your appointed destination.
Our children need to know that regardless of the circumstances of their birth, regardless of the way people are treating you, there is a special reason you are on earth and God needs you to fulfill your purpose.
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

Words of the world (people) can help you to do better or they can cause harm to your spirit.  But the Words of God are the only words you can believe in and trust.
God’s Word will give you the wisdom you need to focus on your life purpose and not on what people are saying or doing to you.
What is going on?  Why do our children feel so lost, so alone and completely out of choices that involve living?

We as Christians have missed the boat when it comes to reaching and teaching our next generation about the love of God.

It is written in John 3:16 that: “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Jesus our savior was killed and He died so we can have the best life.

We have to spread to word to our youth that regardless of what is going on in their lives, God, their creator and Father has a plan for their future.

What I am trying to say, is everyone else is tell our children, what to wear, how to look, how to act and think; what are we telling our children?  Where are our messages of love and acceptance?

Now, to answer the question, about homosexual teens; God is definitely against homosexuality.  All you have to do is read…….

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

Leviticus 18:22 - "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."

We know what God says and we also know how Jesus taught us to treat people, with love and kindness.  All we have to do (in kindness and love) is share the word of God and let God’s power complete the work.  Offer the information, offer the salvation prayer and pray for their deliverance.  Once you have done this, you have your part.
1 Corinthians 6:11 - "And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."
The bottom line is: each and everyone on the planet earth was designed by God for a specific purpose and plan.  So, a course satan will try to stop God’s plans.
So, now you know you have a choice and that there is help available, what can you do now?  Make a decision!
Decide if you want to stay where you are, (in misery) or you can chose to make a change and seek God’s purpose for your life.
Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'" (John 3:3)
Once you start on the path of life that leads you towards your God given purpose and assignment, nothing will be able to stop you from fulfilling your destiny.  Yes there will be obstacles, hindrances and distractions to deter you, slow you down and try to keep you from reaching your goals.
But, when problems happen (and they will) just remember who is on your side, who is sustaining you and whose mission you are fulfilling.  God, the creator of heaven and earth, your father; will help you and ease your way.  This means God will give you the wisdom and the tools you will need to succeed and to complete the mission He has given you.
Hopefully, you have decided to try God and if that is your decision, here are the steps>
1.      Ask God for help, talk to Him like you would talk to a close friend that loves and cares for you.
2.   Get a Bible or Google and read Romans 10: 8, 9, 10 and verse 13.
3.    Ask God to give you wisdom and to help you understand what these scriptures mean.
4.   Now, read Romans 10: 8, 9, 10 and verse 13, again.
GOD LOVES YOU, SIN SEPARATES PEOPLE FROM GOD, JESUS DIED FOR YOUR SINS, YOU CAN RECEIVE JESUS NOW, AND KNOW GOD'S LOVE
5.   Acknowledge in your heart that Jesus is Lord.
6.   Believe that Jesus died for your sins and was raised three days later.
7.   Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.
8.   Repent of your sins and get baptized in the name of Jesus.
9.    Now say the Salvation Prayer.
(Please note, do not expect shivers, a special glow or a tingle, because you are beginning your faith walk and….partial quote:  As Christians, we walk by faith not by sight or feelings> 2 Corinthians 5:7: New International Version (©1984)  We live by faith, not by sight. New Living Translation (©2007) For we live by believing and not by seeing.  English Standard Version (©2001)  for we walk by faith, not by sight.

The Salvation Prayer is a way to communicate your faith in God and His promises. The Salvation Prayer is not a ritual that requires specific words or acts.  This prayer is a way of committing your life to Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.  The following prayer is a guide for your first faith step.
Salvation Prayer
"God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now.  I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life.  I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice.  Come into my life now, Lord.  Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior.  From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands.  I ask this in Jesus
Christ' precious and holy name.  Amen."

If you decided to repent of your sins and receive Christ today, welcome to God's family. Now, as a way to grow closer to Him, the Bible tells us to follow up on our commitment.
  • Get baptized as commanded by Christ.
  • Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ.
  • Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word.
  • Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible.
  • Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus. Develop a group of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.
  • Find a local (Word*) church where you can worship God.
*A Word church is a church where the complete, unadulterated scriptures are taught and followed.  You will recognize a Word church by the lessons the Minster teaches, the sermons will be filled with a minimum of eight to nine scriptures that explain and supports the lessons.
You are now born again, Hallelujah
