Dr. OZ SELF LOVE BREAKFAST

This is from Dr. OZ. RealAge weekly email. And since we are working on self love this is a wonderful addition.  Read, learn, try and enjoy.

Eat This for Breakfast to Experience Self-Love

By RealAge By: Dr. Oz

Seems like a pretty tall order. A breakfast choice that can make you love yourself more? But a new study suggests it may be so.
The breakfast item in question? Cereal.
In a study, the women who had it for breakfast every morning experienced greater self-esteem than the women who started their days with a muffin -- even though both breakfasts had the same number of calories.

Mind over Food
In fact, the cereal eaters felt fuller, happier, and more relaxed, according to food diaries the women kept to record how many calories they thought they'd had and what they felt after eating it. Even though both breakfasts had 400 calories, women who ate the cereal thought it had fewer calories -- and they felt better about themselves because of it. And a mood boost like that is good for self-esteem, researchers note, because how people feel is closely linked to their perceptions of their weight and body image.
Feel-Good Flakes
Ultimately, researchers think that the kind of self-love the cereal eaters experienced may even boost the chances of weight loss success because feel-good vibes can help people stick with a weight loss plan. Choosing foods that you think are high in calories, on the other hand?

It just makes you feel bad about yourself.

And that may make you more likely to fall off the weight loss bandwagon. Here are two more tools you can use to boost your self-love and tip the scales in favor of weight loss:

This Week's Tips

Let's try this and give Dr Oz our feed back.  We can to do, we can try it for  MONTH and see what happens.

You Deserve So Much Bettter

Woman, You Deserve Better
Much better! Ladies, pre-teens, teens, young, middle age, seasoned and experienced ladies
.....may I please have your attention for a minute or two?

We deserve better love
  • Better men friends
  • Better husbands
  • Better relationships
  •  Better promotions
  • Not to mention we deserve better health and wealth.
Wait a minute, we deserve the best, the best of everything in is grand and wonder in the world.  So, why don't we have it, where is it, the "The Best Life" Pastor Joel Osteen writes about?

Where are the best husbands, friends and relationships? Ladies, not despair, they are still there waiting for us. The best men, friends, husbands are still available.

Please do not believe the hype and the lies
The lie that the best men are either dead or married.  But the question we need to ask ourselves is; are we willing to do what it takes to have the best life has to offer?

If have you have think about the answer, let me help you along...Yes, you do deserve the best, the best of everything that is grand and wonderful life has to offer.
Are we willing to let go of the past?
Are we willing to let go of bad and self defeating habits?
Are we ready to walk away from relationships that have run their course and completed their purpose in our lives?
Are we ready to admit, we were wrong?
Are we ready to let go and let God?
Are we ready to take the road less traveled? (A great book)
Are we ready to stop blaming others for our mistakes or failures?
And this is one of my favorites, are we ready to stop doing the same things and expecting different results?

Please realize this, regardless of your past, your mistakes, errors of judgment, you deserve the best. Irregardless of what others (including your family) has said about or done to you) you my dear deserve the best. Dear ladies it is essential that you make the decision that you deserve the best and that you and only you can do what it needed to turn your life around to your satisfaction. Are you ready? Are you really ready to change?

What is the point I am making?
Are you ready to change, are you ready to do whatever is necessary to get/receive all of the blessings God has already prepared for us?

I know I am, I am sooooooo ready to change, to stop procrastinating, I am ready to stand on the promises of God and live my best life.

It is never to late, never!
At the age of 61, I have made up my mind to lean wholly and completely on God for everything and to be totally committed to please Him everyday.
 Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding

Ladies read and repeat the daily affirmations in this blog, they will help to change  any negative self talk to positive self motivations. Remember. you have what you say!

SELF LOVE

WAKE UP TO SELF-LOVE Part

Why are so many teens and women trying to change appearance?  Why are we spending billion of dollars to change our hair, color, and body shape?   Why are falling for the hype, “Blonds
more fun”, or you have to thin to be beautiful? What you think would happen if we spent all of this time and effort, not to mention money on self improvement, learning love and appreciate our
s or discovering and
our talents?
Ladies, please check out Laurie Martin’s, website: http://www.smileacrossyourheart.com/. First, Laurie is an author, inspirational, and professional speaker, certified Life Coach as well as a radio host. She teaches self-love, self reliance, inner wisdom and empowerment, the same exact tools we are developing for ourselves. And second, I found out about Laurie, from Kim Coles, site: http://kimcoles.tv/2010/07/wake-up-to-self-love/ and
http://kimcoles.tv/. Kim’s site is called G.I. F.T.S, which stands for Gratitude, Intention, Forgiveness, Talents, Self love, skills we should use daily. We will spend our next sessions exploring the concepts, tools and skills we can use, learn and develop to live and have the life we deserve।
This title is directly from Laurie’s site. How do you know when you have grown in self-love?
1. When you are able to say, "I'm sorry, I was wrong" without excuses.
2. When you are going through a tough situation and you are focusing on the wisdom you are gaining and how you are expanding your heart- into more parts of yourself.
3. When you notice you are not personalizing other people’s behavior as much.
4. When you notice you are able to vocalize and communicate instead of run away.
5. When you have the courage and belief that you are cable of achieving something.
6. When you describe situations from a higher, positive perspective without blaming others.
7. When you can see the goodness in others even when they are not feeling good about themselves.
  8. When you are able to forgive yourself and others easier.
9. You are able to discern what isn’t working for you in relationships; you vocalize it in a responsible way and take action in a way that brings you to a healthy empowered place.
10. You allow your true self to come out.
11. You trust yourself, your intuition and feelings.
12. You can laugh when you do silly things instead of reading yourself the riot act.
13. You catch yourself when your mind is spinning on negative things or fixating on others too much, and you draw your energy back to positive thoughts more quickly.
14. You are able to open your heart and love unconditionally.
15. When you have more patience with your life path and your divine timing.
  16. When you able to be genuinely happy for others when they are doing well.
17. When you are able to step into your feelings and be present without running or judging.
18. When you notice that the people around you are wiser and more in their heart space than previous friends and romantic partners.
  19. When you are able to admit that you don't know what someone is talking about.
20. When you make healthier nutritional choices.
21. When you make time for physical exercise.
22. When you make time for your divine connection, gratitude and prayer. 23. When you are able to open to a new perspective or create a more positive life script.
24. When you are more "clear" on who you are, your desires and the way you express yourself.
25. You are able to say, "No, I don't buy into that negative thinking because I believe in the best possible scenario!"
26. You are able to look at your fears like a third party not identifying with you, but as the observer. After assessing your SELF-LOVE using Laurie's list, where do you stand??

TEEN SUICIDE, WHY ARE OUR CHILDREN DYING?

Teen Suicide; what is going on?

It hurts my heart to hear about our young people feeling

so hopeless, miserable and helpless  to the point of taking their own lives.   Yes, life can be hard, confusing and too many times painful.  But it should never be hopeless, never.
Although, I must admit there was a time in my life when I felt so miserable about my situation that I did think about it, taking my life.  But believe me, that was a fleeting thought.  Do you know why?  Because I remembered who I was and to whom I belonged.
(Psalms 139:14, 17-18) I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. {17} How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! {18} If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.

The word of God can and will strengthen, encourage and motivate you, when you start to feel despair or start making life choices based on what a person has said to you.
Whose report are you going to believe?  I am going to believe the report of the Lord.

This is the lesson we have to teach our children. The message that they were created for a divine purpose and the devil will use people to stop you from reaching your appointed destination.
Our children need to know that regardless of the circumstances of their birth, regardless of the way people are treating you, there is a special reason you are on earth and God needs you to fulfill your purpose.
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

Words of the world (people) can help you to do better or they can cause harm to your spirit.  But the Words of God are the only words you can believe in and trust.
God’s Word will give you the wisdom you need to focus on your life purpose and not on what people are saying or doing to you.
What is going on?  Why do our children feel so lost, so alone and completely out of choices that involve living?

We as Christians have missed the boat when it comes to reaching and teaching our next generation about the love of God.

It is written in John 3:16 that: “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Jesus our savior was killed and He died so we can have the best life.

We have to spread to word to our youth that regardless of what is going on in their lives, God, their creator and Father has a plan for their future.

What I am trying to say, is everyone else is tell our children, what to wear, how to look, how to act and think; what are we telling our children?  Where are our messages of love and acceptance?

Now, to answer the question, about homosexual teens; God is definitely against homosexuality.  All you have to do is read…….

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

Leviticus 18:22 - "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."

We know what God says and we also know how Jesus taught us to treat people, with love and kindness.  All we have to do (in kindness and love) is share the word of God and let God’s power complete the work.  Offer the information, offer the salvation prayer and pray for their deliverance.  Once you have done this, you have your part.
1 Corinthians 6:11 - "And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."
The bottom line is: each and everyone on the planet earth was designed by God for a specific purpose and plan.  So, a course satan will try to stop God’s plans.
So, now you know you have a choice and that there is help available, what can you do now?  Make a decision!
Decide if you want to stay where you are, (in misery) or you can chose to make a change and seek God’s purpose for your life.
Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'" (John 3:3)
Once you start on the path of life that leads you towards your God given purpose and assignment, nothing will be able to stop you from fulfilling your destiny.  Yes there will be obstacles, hindrances and distractions to deter you, slow you down and try to keep you from reaching your goals.
But, when problems happen (and they will) just remember who is on your side, who is sustaining you and whose mission you are fulfilling.  God, the creator of heaven and earth, your father; will help you and ease your way.  This means God will give you the wisdom and the tools you will need to succeed and to complete the mission He has given you.
Hopefully, you have decided to try God and if that is your decision, here are the steps>
1.      Ask God for help, talk to Him like you would talk to a close friend that loves and cares for you.
2.   Get a Bible or Google and read Romans 10: 8, 9, 10 and verse 13.
3.    Ask God to give you wisdom and to help you understand what these scriptures mean.
4.   Now, read Romans 10: 8, 9, 10 and verse 13, again.
GOD LOVES YOU, SIN SEPARATES PEOPLE FROM GOD, JESUS DIED FOR YOUR SINS, YOU CAN RECEIVE JESUS NOW, AND KNOW GOD'S LOVE
5.   Acknowledge in your heart that Jesus is Lord.
6.   Believe that Jesus died for your sins and was raised three days later.
7.   Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.
8.   Repent of your sins and get baptized in the name of Jesus.
9.    Now say the Salvation Prayer.
(Please note, do not expect shivers, a special glow or a tingle, because you are beginning your faith walk and….partial quote:  As Christians, we walk by faith not by sight or feelings> 2 Corinthians 5:7: New International Version (©1984)  We live by faith, not by sight. New Living Translation (©2007) For we live by believing and not by seeing.  English Standard Version (©2001)  for we walk by faith, not by sight.

The Salvation Prayer is a way to communicate your faith in God and His promises. The Salvation Prayer is not a ritual that requires specific words or acts.  This prayer is a way of committing your life to Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.  The following prayer is a guide for your first faith step.
Salvation Prayer
"God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now.  I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life.  I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice.  Come into my life now, Lord.  Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior.  From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands.  I ask this in Jesus
Christ' precious and holy name.  Amen."

If you decided to repent of your sins and receive Christ today, welcome to God's family. Now, as a way to grow closer to Him, the Bible tells us to follow up on our commitment.
  • Get baptized as commanded by Christ.
  • Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ.
  • Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word.
  • Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible.
  • Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus. Develop a group of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.
  • Find a local (Word*) church where you can worship God.
*A Word church is a church where the complete, unadulterated scriptures are taught and followed.  You will recognize a Word church by the lessons the Minster teaches, the sermons will be filled with a minimum of eight to nine scriptures that explain and supports the lessons.
You are now born again, Hallelujah

America We Will Over Come

Frank Schaeffer is a New York Times best selling author

SAYS

President Obama Will Triumph & So Will America”
 By Frank Schaeffer
Before he'd served even one year President Obama lost the support
of the easily distracted left and engendered the white hot rage of
the hate-filled right.
(In politics, Left, left-wing and leftist are generally used to describe support for social changes to create a more egalitarian society.[1][2] The terms Left and Right were coined during the French Revolution, referring to the seating arrangement in parliament; those who sat on the left generally supported the radical changes of the revolution, including the creation of a republic and secularization.) Retrieved from the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-wing_politics
The word egalitarian means: believing in equality/maintaining, relating to, or based on a belief that all people are, in principle, equal and should enjoy equal social, political and economic rights and opportunities.  From the Encarta Dictionary
But some of us, from all walks of  life and ideological backgrounds -- including this white, straight,  57-year- old, former religious right wing agitator, now progressive writer and (given my background as the son of a famous evangelical leader) this  unlikely Obama supporter -- are sticking with our President.
    Why?--  because he is succeeding.

We faithful Obama supporters still trust our initial impression of

him as a great, good and uniquely qualified man to lead us.

Obama's steady supporters will be proved right.
   Obama's critics
will be remembered as easily panicked and prematurely  discouraged at best and shriveled hate mongers at worst.

The Context of the Obama Presidency
Not since the days of the rise of fascism in Europe , the Second
World War and the Depression has any president faced  more
adversity.  Not since the Civil War has any president led a more
bitterly divided country.  Not since the introduction of racial
integration has any president faced a more consistently short-
sighted and willful ignorant opposition - from both the right
    and left.
As the President's poll numbers have fallen so  has his support from
some on the left that were hailing him as a Messiah  not long ago;  all those lefty websites and commentators that were falling  all over themselves on behalf of our first black president during the
 2008  election.

The left's lack of faith has become a self-fulfilling "prophecy"--
snipe at the President and then watch the poll numbers fall  and
then pretend you didn't have  anything to do with it!

Here is  what Obama faced when he took office-- none of which was his  fault:
1.    An ideologically divided country to the point that America was
    really two countries.
2.    Two wars; one that was mishandled from the start, the other that was unnecessary and immoral.
3.     The worst economic crisis since the depression.
4.     America’s standing in the world at the lowest point in history.
5.    A country that had been misled into accepting the use of torture
of prisoners of war.
6.    A health care system in free fall.
7.    An educational system in free fall.
8.    A global environmental crisis of history-altering proportions
(about which the Bush administration and the Republicans had done nothing) and denied.
9.    An impasse between culture warriors from the right and left
10.        A huge financial deficit inherited from the terminally
    irresponsible Bush administration.
11.        And those were only some of the problems sitting on the
    President's desk!

    "Help" from the Right?
What did the Republicans and the religious right, libertarians and
half-baked conspiracy theorists -- that is what the Republicans
were reduced to by the time Obama took office -- do to  "help" our new president (and our country) succeed?
 1.  They claimed that he wasn't a real American, didn't have an American birth certificate,
 2.   Wasn't born here was secretly a Muslim, was white-hating "racist",
3.   Was secretly a communist, was actually the Anti-Christ, (!) and was
4.  A reincarnation of Hitler and wanted "death panels" to kill the
    elderly!
 5.  They  not-so-subtly called for his assassination through the not-so-subtle use  of vile signs held at their rallies and even a bumper
    sticker quoting  Psalm 109:8.
6.  They organized "tea parties" to sound off against imagined  insults and all government in general and gathered to howl at the moon.
7.  They were led by insurance industry lobbyists and deranged (but well financed) "commentators" from Glenn Beck to Rush Limbaugh.

 8.  The utterly discredited Roman Catholic bishops teamed up with the utterly discredited evangelical leaders to denounce a president who was trying to actually do something about the poor, the environment, to diminish the number of abortions through
compassionate programs to help women and to care for the sick!
9.  And in Congress the Republican leadership only knew one word: "No!"

10.  In other words the reactionary white, rube, uneducated,  crazy
American far right, combined with the educated but obtuse
neoconservative war mongers, religious right shills for big
business,  libertarian Fed Reserve-hating gold bug, gun-loving
crazies,  child-molesting acquiescent "bishops", frontier loons and
evangelical  gay-hating flakes
found one thing to briefly unite them: their desire to stop an uppity black man from succeeding at all costs!

"Help" from the Left?

What did the left do to help their newly elected president?
1.   Some of them excoriated the President because they disagreed with the bad choices he was being forced to make regarding a war in Afghanistan that he'd inherited from the worst president in modern history!
 2.  Others stood up and bravely proclaimed that the President's    economic policies had "failed" before the President even instituted them!
3.  Others said that since all gay rights battles had not been fully won within virtually minutes of the President taking office, they'd been "betrayed"! (Never mind that Obama's vocal support to
the gay community is  stronger than any other president's has been.

 4.   Never mind that he signed a new hate crimes law!)

  5.  Those that had stood in transfixed legions weeping with beatific emotion on election night turned into an angry mob saying how "disappointed" they were that they'd not all immediately been transported to heaven the moment Obama stepped into the White House!
  Where was the "change"?
Contrary to their expectations they were still mere mortals!

And the legion of young new supporters was too busy texting to pay attention for longer than a nanosecond.
"Governing"?! What the hell does that word, uh, like mean?"

The President's critics left and right all had one thing in common:

Impatience laced with little-to-no sense of history (let alone reality) thrown in for good measure.
Then of course there were the white, snide know-it-all  commentators/talking heads who just couldn't imagine that maybe, just maybe they weren't as smart as they  thought they were and certainly not as smart as their president.
He hadn't consulted them, had he? So he must be wrong!

The Obama critics' ideological ideas defined their idea of reality rather than reality defining their ideas-say, about what is possible in one year in office after the hand that the  President  had been dealt by fate or to be exact by the American idiot nation that voted Bush into office.   Twice!

Meanwhile back in the reality-based community -  in just 12 short months -- President Obama:
 1.
Continued to  draw down the misbegotten war in Iraq
(But that wasn't good enough for  his critics)
  2.  Thoughtfully and decisively picked the best of several bad choices regarding the war in Afghanistan
(But that wasn't good enough for his critics)
  3.  Gave a major precedent-setting speech supporting gay rights
(But that wasn't good enough for his critics)
   4.  Restored America 's image around the globe
(But that  wasn't good enough for his critics)
   5.  Banned torture of American prisoners
(But that wasn't good enough for his critics)
   6.  Stopped the free fall of the American economy
(But that wasn't good enough for his critics)
   7.  Put the USA squarely back in the  bilateral international community. (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)
   8. Put the USA squarely into the middle of the international effort to halt global warming.  (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)
  9.  Stood up for educational reform
(But that wasn't good enough for his critics)
  10.  Won a Nobel peace  prize
(But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

11.  Moved the  trial of terrorists back into the American judicial
    system of checks and  balances

(But that wasn't good enough for his critics)
   12.  He did what had to be done to start the slow, torturous and almost impossible process of health care reform that 7 presidents had failed to even  begin
(But that wasn't good enough for his critics)
   13.  Responded  to hatred from the right and left with measured good humor and  patience
(But that wasn't good enough for his critics)
  14.  Stopped  the free fall of job losses
(But that wasn't good enough for his  critics)
  15.  Showed immense personal courage; in the face of an armed and dangerous far right opposition that included the sort of disgusting people that show up at public meetings carrying loaded weapons and carrying Timothy McVeigh-inspired signs about the "blood of tyrants” needing to "water the tree of liberty".
(But that wasn't good enough for his critics)
  16.  Showed that he could not only make the tough  military choices but explain and defend them brilliantly
(But that  wasn't good enough for his critics)

Other than those  "disappointing" accomplishments -- IN ONE YEAR --

How did President Obama  "fail"! Other than that he didn't "live up to unrealistic expectations"!
    Who actually has failed...

...are the Americans that can't see the beginning  of a miracle of
national rebirth right under their jaded noses.
Who failed?
The smart ass ideologues of the left and right who began rooting for this President to fail so that they could be proved right in their
dire and morbid predictions.
Who failed?
The movers and shakers behind our obscenely dumb news cycles that have turned "news" into just more stupid entertainment for an  entertainment-besotted infantile country.

Here's the good news:
President Obama is succeeding without the help of his lefty "supporters" or hate-filled Republican detractors!

The Future Looks Good

After Obama has served two full terms, (and he will),  after his
wisdom in moving deliberately and cautiously with great subtlety  on all fronts -- with a canny and calculating eye to the possible succeeds, (it will), after the economy is booming and new industries are  burgeoning, (they will be), after the doomsayers are all proved not just  wrong but silly:
Let the record show that not all Americans were panicked into thinking the sky was falling.
Just because we didn't get everything we wanted in the first short and fraught year Obama has been in office not all of us has  given up.
Some of us has stayed the course.  And we will be proved right.

PS. if you agree that Obama is shaping up to be a great president, please pass this on and hang in there!
Pass it on anyway to ensure that his "report card" gets the attention it deserves.
