Love Thy Self, part II

WAKE UP TO SELF-LOVE Part I

Love yourself, better than anyone can love you!

Why are so many teens and women trying to change their appearance?
Why are we spending billion of dollars trying to change our hair, color, face   and body shape?
Why are we falling the hype, “Blonds have more fun”, or you have to be thin to be beautiful?
What do you think would happen if we spent all of this time and effort, not to mention money on inner self improvement, learning to love and appreciate our selves or discovering and developing our talents?
Where is our self love?

We must learn to love and accept our self

Ladies, please check out Laurie Martin’s, website:
http://www.smileacrossyourheart.com/.  First, Laurie is an author, inspirational, and professional speaker, certified Life Coach as well as a radio host.  She teaches self-love, self reliance, inner wisdom and empowerment, the same exact tools we are developing for ourselves.  Ms. Martin has written several books than you can find at: www.Amazon.com.  And second, I found out about Laurie Martin, from Kim Coles, site: http://kimcoles.tv/2010/07/wake-up-to-self-love/and
http://kimcoles.tv/.  Kim’s site is called G.I. F.T.S, which stands for Gratitude, Intention, Forgiveness, Talents, Self love, skills we should use daily.  We will spend our next sessions exploring the concepts, tools and skills we can use, learn and develop to live and have the life we deserve.

This title is directly from Laurie’s site.
How do you know when you have grown in self-love?

1. When you are able to say, "I'm sorry, I was wrong" without excuses.
2. When you are going through a tough situation and you are focusing on the wisdom you are gaining and how you are expanding your heart- into more parts of yourself.
3. When you notice you are not personalizing other people’s behavior as much.
4. When you notice you are able to vocalize and communicate instead of run away.
5. When you have the courage and belief that you are cable of achieving something.
6. When you describe situations from a higher, positive perspective without blaming others.
7. When you can see the goodness in others even when they are not feeling good about themselves.
8. When you are able to forgive yourself and others easier.
9. You are able to discern what isn’t working for you in relationships; you vocalize it in a responsible way and take action in a way that brings you to a healthy empowered place.
10. You allow your true self to come out.

11. You trust yourself, your intuition and feelings.
12. You can laugh when you do silly things instead of reading yourself the riot act.

13. You catch yourself when your mind is spinning on negative things or fixating on others too much, and you draw your energy back to positive thoughts more quickly.
14. You are able to open your heart and love unconditionally.
15. When you have more patience with your life path and your divine timing.
16. When you able to be genuinely happy for others when they are doing well.
17. When you are able to step into your feelings and be present without running or judging.
18. When you notice that the people around you are wiser and more in their heart space than previous friends and romantic partners.
19. When you are able to admit that you don't know what someone is talking about.
20. When you make healthier nutritional choices.
21. When you make time for physical exercise.
22. When you make time for your divine connection, gratitude and prayer.
23. When you are able to open to a new perspective or create a more positive life script.
24. When you are more "clear" on who you are, your desires and the way you express yourself.
25. You are able to say, "No, I don't buy into that negative thinking because I believe in the best possible scenario!"
26. You are able to look at your fears like a third party not identifying with you, but as the observer.

SELF LOVE PART II

My daughter Arntetta has learned how to love herself.  I can see it daily as she strives faithfully to achieve her goals and fulfill her dreams.

In the past few years Arnetta has:
  • Lost over 100 pounds of excess weight and is still working towards ultimate  health.
  • Published her first book.
  • Entered into a national cooking contest.
  • Went back to school and earned two degrees.
  • Given me two grandsons, by adopting 2 little brothers.
  • Is currently completing her second novel.
  • Works on her self image, self love and self improvement daily.
Netta is a wonderful work in progress and I am so very, no I am extremely proud of her.

I am proud of all of my daughters and they are all on a journey. Where is your life journey leading you?  Are you on your God designed path?  Or are still trying to please man rather than God?
Galatians 1:10 For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.
Once you start working toward your God assigned tasks, you will be amazed as to how you will begin to see things in a different light and your energies and focus will propel you towards fulfilling the dreams God has placed in your heart.
Today's topic is from a letter I received from Arnetta.  she is always sending me deep and motivating thoughts of wisdom that helps me stay on task.  We all need a cheer leader.  If you do not have one, ask God to send you some.
This is Netta's letter to me today.....

Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, Plans to prosper you, plans to give you hope and a future."

God, are Father has everything we need and then some.  All we have to do is live by His rules to get it........

My Daughters' thoughts for today....

Hello Mother,

I want to write this note to you. I want to let you know that I love you and pray that you are living your best life. In order to do this, you must let go of the past and only speak encouraging, positive words. You taught me that words are powerful. They are, so speak life into what you want. Know one can change anyone so speaking negatively about them only stills your energy and blocks your blessings. God has a plan for you. You need to get prepared to complete God's plans.

I hope that the information you received about the organization will help you find a place to stay. I know that in time you will fill your home with the items you need. Move forward with the anticipation of greatness.

You deserve the best, but the best will only come when you work toward it. Complete school and set your goals for each month of 2011. By December 2011, you can celebrate all of your efforts and dedication.

Love Always

Arnetta
