Unconditional Self Love

is self acceptance, which is loving and accepting yourself as you are, without

making any excuses or giving explanations. My dear sisters, daughters and

nieces loving your self unconditionally mean you do not look to others for

approval or acceptance. You know and realize that people with low self esteem

almost always try to make others feel bad because they are not feeling good about

their selves. So please listen to Auntie Donna, please do not fall for all of the

oakey dope, (false lies and misconceptions)from the media, the fashion

magazine, teen shows as well as the teen magazines. Their purpose is to make

money, to sell products, to make you think you need their products to look good,

feel good, be loved, appealing or accepted.

Each and every of us are special and unique. We were especially designed and

created for a purpose. So my dear darling sisters, do not look to others and make

comparisons. Because most of the people you are comparing yourself to are

probably comparing their selves to someone else. The confused cycle is

unending, at least until we put an end to it.

May I offer an example; you may be able to relate to….the weight lost and diet

industry. It rakes in billions of dollars annually

from men and women but mostly women who want to lose weight, look thinner or

wear a size 5 or 2 dress. Bloomberg Business Week magazine, states this direct

quote: “Americans spend $40 billion a year on weight-loss programs and

products. They answer Jenny Craig’s enticement to “lose 20 pounds for just $20”

(“plus the cost of food”) or Trimspa’s offer of a seven-day supply of chocolate

Hoodia weight-loss supplements for $24.95.” You can read the complete article

at:

Yes, America is considered the over weight country, but first we need to learn

what is causing our weight problems (if you actually have one) than we can

decide which is the best way to live a healthier life style, instead of jumping from

one fad / program to the next.

But, let’s go back to the topic of self love

With too many single parent homes in our country, the lessons of self

esteem, self confidence and self love may are not stressed or in many

cases are not even taught in our homes. I would like to share with you a

few web sites that offer lessons and insights on self love and self

acceptable. You do not have to have long

straight hair, too be considered beautiful, you do not have to be a size

five to accepted by the so named in-crowd, you do not need light colored

eyes, painted or fake nails to look fly.

You can actually be you own natural beautiful self

Loving yourself, caring and protecting your own ego is more important than wearing what someone else deems the latest or the hottest (got to have fad or fashion) is more important and will take you further in life in the long run.
